Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on August 9th, 1963. She was born in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. At the age of a small girl, Houston began singing professionally in the church choir. She sang backing vocals for Chaka Khosns 1978 single Im Every Woman with her mom. She then went on to join the backing vocals of Lou Rawls, Jermaine, and even her mother. Her first gig was as a lead singer for The New York-based New York Funk band Material. The quality of her vocal work attracted attention from the major label Arista where she signed up in 1983. The year 1985 saw Whitney Houston's first album became the top-selling debut album of all time. Many hit songs, including The Greatest Love of All, Saving My Love For You How Will I Know That You Love Me and The Most Beautiful Love of All were released on the album. They set the stage for her to beat the Beatles with seven consecutive US number ones. The album came out in 1987 and sold 25 million copies around the world. The Whitney album of 1987, that featured songs like that I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Where Do Broken Hearts Get to continue her popularity. But it is The Bodyguard of 1992 that was her breakthrough album and made her one of the biggest-selling artists in history. Although the film and her performance in it weren't widely reviewed, the soundtrack album as well as her cover of Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You was the top of the charts of albums and singles for months and sold 44 million copies around the world. In the same year, she got married to Bobby Brown who was a previous New Edition singer. She was the sole daughter of Bobby and Bobbi Kristina Brown. They were married in the month of March, 1993. About this time her well-documented substance abuse began and by 1996, Bobbi Kristina Brown used to use drugs every day.

Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she works for CNN as anchorwoman, reporter and political reporter. In the past, she has created shows for CNN, including Evans & Novak' Late Editionas well as Inside Politics'. Bash is a recipient of many honors and awards. Elle magazine once listed her on its Women in Washington Power List. A lot of young journalists praise her for having incredible reporting/anchoring capabilities. She is a George Washington University grad is an incredibly loving mother of her one child. Bash is a single mother and has been married two times. Bash who is a determined and independent woman, loves her admirers with all her heart.
